Description

There are critical gaps in knowledge and practice in health sector responses in humanitarian crises. This event will launch a new Lancet series on Health in Humanitarian Crises. The Series aims to highlight gaps in understanding of the health impacts of humanitarian crises and the effectiveness of subsequent humanitarian actions, and to recommend appropriate responses for research and practice. The Series is guest edited by Francesco Checchi and Bayard Roberts.

The Series launch event will feature presentations from the Series’ authors on their papers, followed by a panel discussion led by Dr Richard Horton, Editor-in-chief of The Lancet.

Copies of the Series will be available at the symposium.

This event will be followed by lunch.
